What we store, why, for how long, and how you remove it.
Short version: we store your resume so you can edit and download it, we delete what you do not keep, and you can export or erase everything with one click. We do not sell data, run ads, or share your resume with employers or job boards.
What we collect

What we refuse to store
Aadhaar, PAN, passport, bank account, UAN and similar identifiers are blocked at input. If you type one into the chat or it appears in an uploaded file, it is masked before anything is saved and never rendered in a resume.
Consent and purpose
You consent to the processing above when you start a resume or sign in; the purpose is limited to building, scoring, tailoring and exporting your resume and billing you for passes you buy. We use an AI model provider to generate suggestions; it receives the resume text and your messages for that request and is contractually barred from training on them. We may change providers; the purpose does not change. Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data.
Your rights
- Access and export: Dashboard → Data → Export. You get a JSON file of every resume and version plus your chat history.
- Correction: edit anything in the builder; it is your document.
- Erasure: Dashboard → Data → Delete everything. Resumes, files, chats and account are removed within 24 hours; backups within 30 days. Payment records are retained as the law requires.
- Grievance: write to our grievance officer at grievance@resumecrew.in. We acknowledge within 72 hours and resolve within 30 days, as the Act requires. If unsatisfied you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate: you may name someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity; email the grievance officer.
Children
The service is for people aged 18 and above seeking work. We do not knowingly process a child's data; tell us and we will delete it.
Where data lives
Primary storage is in India. Our AI provider processes requests outside India; only the text needed for the request is sent, and it is not retained.
Cookies
One session cookie to keep you signed in and one preference cookie for theme and language. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
Changes
This notice is dated 7 October 2026. If we change what we collect or why, we will show the change in the builder before it applies. Our no-manipulation policy and terms sit beside this page.
