Resume example · Customer Support (BPO) Executive · 2 to 5 years

Customer Support (BPO) Executive resume with 2 to 5 years of experience: a sample from India

At two to five years the recruiter stops asking whether you can take a call and starts asking how many, how well and on which account. Volume, CSAT, AHT and resolution rates replace the languages-and-typing lines of a fresher resume, and school marks come off the page. The summary names the step you want next, usually senior executive, trainer or team leader.

Bullet rewrites, weak to strong

Each pair shows a line people really write and a stronger version of the same fact. The numbers are illustrations. If you have no number, see resume bullets with numbers when you have none.

  1. Before

    Handled customer calls

    After

Handled 80 to 100 inbound calls a day for a US telecom process and held 92% CSAT with a 6.5-minute AHT against a 7-minute target

    Why

Volume, the account and two quality numbers set against their targets. 'Handled customer calls' reads the same for a busy floor and a quiet one.

  2. Before

    Resolved complaints

    After

Resolved billing disputes for 1,500+ customers in 12 months at 88% first-call resolution and won three Star of the Month awards

    Why

A count, a period and the rate that shows the fixes held. Awards count for more when you add the size of the field, so say 'out of 40 agents' if you know it.

  3. Before

    Replied to emails

    After

Managed 60+ email and chat tickets a shift in Zendesk for an e-commerce client and kept SLA breaches under 2% for three straight quarters

    Why

Names the channel, the tool and the service standard. A breach rate shows you protected the client's promise, not only answered fast.

  4. Before

Helped senior agents with angry customers

    After

Answered 12 to 15 escalated calls a day as the tier-2 contact for a floor of 40 agents, closing 80% without a supervisor transfer

    Why

Shows you were trusted with the hardest contacts and gives the share you closed alone. That is the step between agent and team leader.

  5. Before

    Improved customer satisfaction

    After

Raised individual CSAT from 84% to 91% in two quarters by replacing the generic apology with three issue-specific call openings and weekly self-reviews of 5 calls

    Why

A before-and-after and the two habits behind it. 'Improved satisfaction' gives an interviewer nothing to ask about; a changed opening line does.

  6. Before

    Trained new joiners

    After

Coached 4 new joiners a quarter through two weeks of nesting; all 12 reached the 90% quality score within six weeks

    Why

A count, a routine and an outcome a team leader can confirm. Coaching is the clearest evidence that you can move into a leadership seat.

Skills to list, grouped

Group skills into three or four lines and keep only those you could discuss for ten minutes. Each should appear in a bullet, a project or a certificate.

  • Channels and process: Voice support, Live chat, Email support, Escalation handling, Quality monitoring
  • Metrics: CSAT, AHT, First-call resolution, SLA adherence
  • Tools: Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce, MS Excel

What recruiters for this role tend to look for

  • Volume per day or shift, by channel (calls, chats or tickets), so the reader can size the floor you worked on.
  • Quality numbers with their targets: CSAT, AHT, first-call resolution and quality score. Two or three are enough, and the target next to each makes them mean something.
  • The tools by name (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce or an in-house CRM), because recruiters usually search on them.
  • Signs you were trusted with more: escalations, new-joiner coaching, tier-2 work, and awards with the size of the field.
  • Stable dates with months and a clear account type (US telecom, UK utilities, e-commerce), since a change of process is often the first thing a recruiter asks about.

Mistakes common at this level

  • Keeping Class X and XII marks after three years. At this level they use space that your volume and quality numbers need.
  • Quoting a quality score with no target. '94% quality' means little until the reader knows whether the target was 85% or 98%.
  • Listing every process you were rotated through. Give the main account in full and use one line for the rest.

Section order on the sample

The sample uses the Classic Single template, A4 (210 by 297 mm), one column, with the sections in this order: Summary, Experience, Skills, Education, Certifications, Achievements. The order follows the level: skills and experience lead and school marks have come off.

Questions people ask

Can I name the client company I support?

Many BPO contracts restrict naming the client, so check your agreement first. Describe the account by industry and region, for example 'US telecom process' or 'UK utilities account', which recruiters understand without a brand name.

How do I show international process experience?

State the country and domain in the first bullet of the role, then give volume and quality. Recruiters hiring for international processes usually look for exactly that line. A note on shift pattern is optional; spend the space on results.

Is a one-page resume enough at three or four years?

Yes, one page is the safer default, and two roles with three or four bullets each fit easily. If you have changed processes often, group the earlier ones into a single line. See what to remove from an Indian resume.
