Fresher: what changes

A mechanical fresher is read for proof of hands-on work: a model that was analysed, a plant visit that produced a number, and workshop hours that show you have held a tool. Core companies often screen on CGPA first, so marks stay on the page, but the final-year project and the internship decide who gets the interview. There is no repository to link, so each bullet has to name the part, the software and the result.

First thing a reader checks: A CGPA or percentage that clears the company's cut-off, shown near the top. Many core recruiters screen on it first, so do not bury it.

2 to 5 years: what changes

At two to five years the reader wants to know what you owned on the shop floor: a line, a cell, a maintenance area or a design package. Units per shift, downtime, OEE and rupees saved replace project titles, school marks come off, and the summary names the tools you use every day. The step up from fresher is that every claim now needs a baseline and a period.

First thing a reader checks: A line, cell or maintenance area you can call yours, with output per shift or per day and the target it was measured against.

5+ years: what changes

Beyond five years a hiring manager reads for scope and judgment: how many people, what output, which budget, and what happened to safety and audit results on your watch. The page drops tool lists and keeps two plants or two roles, each with a handful of results stated in output, rupees and rates. Compared with the two to five year page, decisions and people now matter more than your own machine-level fixes.

First thing a reader checks: Team size, shifts and output: 'a 140-member, 3-shift plant making 14,000 sets a month' sets the scale in one line.
