Fresher: what changes

An operations manager reading a fresher resume looks for stock, parcels and shifts: have you counted, packed, tracked or routed something, and can you give the number? A warehouse or logistics internship carries the page, one small project you measured yourself sits under it, and Excel has to be shown rather than listed. At two to five years, daily volumes and on-time rates take over.

First thing a reader checks: Physical-operations evidence: shifts worked, parcels, cartons or SKUs handled, even from an internship or a seasonal job.

2 to 5 years: what changes

At two to five years an operations manager reads for volume, the standard you held and the money you saved. Shipments a day, on-time or accuracy rates with a baseline, vendor spend and the MIS you ran replace a fresher's internship counts, and school marks come off.

First thing a reader checks: Shipments or orders a day and the number of riders, staff or sites, so the reader can size your hub.

5+ years: what changes

At five years or more an operations leader is read for scope and decisions: how many sites, how many people, what the cost per order did, which vendors you brought under contract. Shift-level detail drops off the page, and rupee savings need a baseline and a period.

First thing a reader checks: Scope by sites, hubs and people: how many warehouses or hubs, daily or monthly volume, and headcount including supervisors.
